Founded over 100 years ago, JR Byrne & Sons Ltd is one of Irelands oldest Wholesale Cash and Carrys. Based in Dublin, Ireland, we pride ourselves on being a family business and have a serviced the Retail Trade for nearly 100 year.

From our inception we have strived to bring Better Value, Better Deals and Better Service to our customers. Using these as the corner stone of our business we have grown from strength to strength developing with our customers as the markets and buying habits of their customers have changed..

In 2000 we joined Stonehouse Marketing Ltd. Stonehouse is a buying group of over 55 warehouses with 35 members. The group employs over 1400 staff and maintains a turnover of approx €700 million per annum. By being a member of Stonehouse we can offer our customers access to Irelands largest own label, Homestead, the range consists of over 170 products in categories ranging from biscuits and pasta to pet food and firelighters. ABOUT OUR CUSTOMERS

Being one of the largest Cash and Carrys in Ireland our customers come from a broad section of the Market and because of this we are constantly expanding our business to meet their growing needs.

Our Customers include:
Wholesalers, Convienence Stores, Symbol Stores, Independant Retailers, Forecourts (symbol and non symbol), Newsagents, Vendors (Food, Confectionery and Cigarettes), Pizzerias, Chippers and Takeaways, Canteens, Coffee Shops and Cafes, Promotional and Events Companies, Advertising and Radio Companies, Offices and Warehouses.

Even though our main distribution area is Dublin and the surrounding counties we have customers from Donegal to Cork, and Manchesterto Edinburgh.

ABOUT STONEHOUSE & AONTAS

Established in early 2000, Stonehouse is the product of the merger between Keencost Centres (Ireland), trading since 1971, and the National Wholesale Groceries Alliance, established in 1961. In bringing together this wealth of knowledge and experience, Stonehouse is now Ireland's leading independent wholesale company with a network of 35 member companies; all of whom are family run business which totals 55+ warehouses nationwide. The group employs over 1400 staff and maintains a turnover of approx €700 million per annum.

The Stonehouse ethos remains unfailing since its inception; supporting the independent Irish trader through quality of service and product excellence, each member is dedicated to a progressive business model that keeps client insight and market knowledge at the fore of all group activity.

Stonehouse has a network of over 55 depots nationwide and employes over 1400 people servicing the Retail, Wholesale and Catering sectors. The group has also some of Irelands most known symbol groups Gala, Gala Superstore, Costcutter, associated with it.

Stonehouse also has one of Ireland most known own brands in Homestead. Homestead now has a nationwide distribution network within Independent and Stonehouse Group shops, and has retail sales in excess of €16 million. In 2003 the Homestead brand was introduced by Superquinn to its Supermarkets launching the brand into the large Supermarket setion of the Irish retail market.

Aontas Grocery and Food Services Ltd was formed in 2003 by Superquinn and Stonehouse, combining their buying functions to increase their barganing power in the Irish Retail Market.
